No, unfortunately, it might not be the one you’re hoping for. And now a new rumor suggests that it is indeed a veteran actor that already played the role.
We now know that we will also meet the new DC Universe’s Caped Crusader in The Brave and the Bold, a movie that will feature Bruce Wayne and his son Damian Wayne. Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight of The Batman film saga will continue in the Elsewords franchise that runs parallel to the main DCU timeline, while The Flash – one of the last relics of the DCEU – will feature DCEU Batman (Ben Affleck) and Michael Keaton’s veteran Batman too.
It’s one of the things that made the original DC Extended Universe hard to follow in its later years, and it could continue to be an issue for James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DCU. Could one of these Batmen be the DCU’s Caped Crusader?
The DC Universe may be bringing back a veteran Batman to be their Dark Knight, and the options are, well, surprising.
